Sadé Clacken Joseph

Sadé Clacken Joseph is a Caribbean-American filmmaker from the Bronx, New York. She fell in love with telling stories at a young age through music and fantasy movies. She is known for her lyrical eye towards underrepresented stories and unique ability to capture the beauty and humor in the smallest, most tender of human moments.

Sadé directed the pilot and second episode for the first season of RAP SH!T, Issa Rae’s narrative comedy series on HBO Max. She has also directed for Seasons 4 and 5 of GOOD TROUBLE on Freeform, and Kenya Barris’ genre-bending dark-comedy DIARRA FROM DETROIT on BET+. Her debut feature-length documentary film TRAP JAZZ is streaming on Hulu.

She is the founder of Out of Many Media.
