Ellen Davis

Ellen Davis is a British Caribbean Photographer who creates images that feel as calm as she is behind the lens.

Her quietness and stillness are reflected in her imagery.

With sincerity, she approaches photography as a visual journal, writing with her eyes as her pen. Solo travel inspires much of her work. Ellen captures people the way she sees them, and landscapes that feel like timeless postcards – blending culture, curiosity, and everyday life into something intimate and genuine.

Shy by nature, she often lets the camera do the talking, creating mutuals across cultures and languages. The conversation is brief, but the connection is lasting and sealed in her portraits. Their trust, paired with her tranquillity, seeps into every frame. She values trust and presence, and her portraits carry the honesty of those fleeting interactions.

Naturally, as a lab technician, she has a deep chemistry with film photography.

Ellen’s art is instinctive; she hibernates then awakens, like a vacation for her mind. It's an ongoing story of who she is, who she meets, and how she sees the world.
